The funding was raised privately by the Forward Redding Foundation 501(c)3 of the Greater Redding Chamber of Commerce. Our community was extremely generous in contributing $500k to reach our fundraising goal. If you want to make an investment in catalyzing a better city, please contact Jake Mangas at the Redding Chamber [email protected].
The project launched publicly in May of 2018. Three separate community workshops were held by the end of 2018. Our engaged community also brought their voice to the Identity Project by completing 2,440 surveys! We received over 800 ideas about how we can catalyze a better city (thank you for sharing your ideas!). “20 ideas by 2020” is the phrase used to describe how 20 catalytic ideas were selected and initiated by the year 2020. The majority of the projects are scheduled to be completed by the end of 2020.
